Privacy by Design Ambassadors

Privacy can no longer be assured solely by compliance with regulatory frameworks; rather, privacy assurance must come from designing privacy protection right into technology, business practices and physical design – Privacy by Design begins with you and your organization.

  • Within your organization or field, identify an emerging technology, business practice or infrastructure that intersects with personally identifiable information, then work towards building in the principles of Privacy by Design.
  • Share your ideas in our “PbD Global Forum”. Become a part of the community, provide your insights, and assist others in implementing PbD principles into their practices.
  • Spread the word! Whenever you find an opportunity, inform others about the advantages and benefits of Privacy by Design.

The Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (IPC) is an independent officer of the Legislature whose mandate is to oversee compliance with public sector access and privacy legislation and health sector privacy legislation in the province of Ontario.
.
The IPC recognizes ambassadors based on their attestations that they apply the principles of Privacy by Design. The IPC does not endorse any company or product of any recognized ambassador.

Select either “Individual” or “Organizations” to learn more about the program.

Consider nominating your organization as a PbD Ambassador.
